International live broadcasting of Life Ball 2018 on 2 June
Life Ball announces the live broadcasting of the 25th anniversary edition of the HIV/AIDS charity event - paying this year under the title 'The Sound of Music' homage to Austrian values and traditions, via TV-channels in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and additionally via 'Fashion TV' in 195 countries on five continents, reaching according to Life Ball around 482 million households. One of the highlights will be the bridal fashion show with items by prominent brands like Elie Saab, Lanvin or Kenzo. The ball is supported by public funds (such as through the City of Vienna), private partners (like MAC Cosmetics) and generates money for annually changing health projects also through selling special Life Ball products such as in 2018 a handbag by the Austrian leather goods label Ludwig Reiter.
