Ion Fiz SS16 is an elegant-sensual time travel into the past, the present and the future
Yesterday on 20 September, Spanish designer Ion Fiz' new collection Ion Fiz No. 28 Spring/Summer 2016 with the title 'Le Présage' (The Omen) was presented with piano player on the runway of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (18 until 22 September). 'The Omen' is inspired by thoughts about the future, the interpretation of signals and intuition; the omen is defined at the label's press release as "phenomenon which often refers to the advent of a change".
The items range from elegant day wear to cocktail dresses, evening gowns and span with style references over centuries - citations of baroque (gown at the end of the video above) alongside to futuristic 60ies plastic elements and contemporary styles deconstructed by transparencies (skirt at the image below, left) are the carriers through the visual time travel which is elegant and astonishing sexy like the cocktail dress (image below, right) with an extraordinary well drawn décolleté that unveils half of the shoulders. The show of the prêt-à-porter/haute-couture creations started with feather-light angel-like designs (combination of lingerie, feather cape and eye mask on view at a post on Facebook). The first 'Angel' blindfolded the pianist's eyes...
Ion Fiz No. 28 Spring/Summer 2016 will be shown with 'Revlon Professional' and 'Mikel Luzea Hairdresser' on 5 October at the catwalk in Paris.
