Sportswear brand by former Olympic athlete Li-Ning presented F/W 2018 at Tmall China Day during NYFW

Yesterday, four Chinese labels presented the new Fall/Winter 2018 collections on invitation of CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) at Tmall China Day (article) during New York Fashion Week Men's. Among them sportswear brand Li-Ning named after Olympic gold, silver, bronze medal winning gymnast Li-Ning who founded the company in 1990 inspired by the idea of Olympic sports. Some of the Fall/Winter 2018 items show photos of Li-Ning during sports competitions such as on view at the image left, below. For FW18, sports- and streetwear styles are merged with Chinese traditional clothing elements such as known from martial arts. The collection is driven by the exploration of the past and future, humans and nature, and inspired by Wu Dao (means as much as finding individually the way for the best performance) and the principles of the life guiding philosophy Taoism.
