Pierre Costin, Fashion Creative Director of Porsche Design, at the preview of the house's FW16 collections during Berlin Fashion Week

On 21 January during Berlin Fashion Week, Porsche Design Group CEO Dr. Christian Kurtzke and the new Creative Director of the fashion category at Porsche Design Pierre Costin (image right) invited to the presentation of selected pieces of the Fall/Winter 2016 men's and women's collections to Bar Tausend. The collections are inspired by the lifestyle of global business travelers and demands in comfort and function. The result is a mix of classical elegant style with functional clothing elements from the sneaker-streetwear world. Goal of the designs of the pieces (inclusively bags, eyewear, watches) is to complete even very formal looks.

Porsche Design Fashion Creative Director Pierre Costin (the French-Canadian worked before for labels like Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole) says about the style of the collections: "Sporty-elegant design, the highest quality, and special performance: basically, this is the application of the Porsche Automobile's success criteria in the world of fashion – intentionally not as haute couture, but as ready-to-wear clothes for every day."
