Kanye West x adidas Originals 'YEEZY SEASON 1' collection premiered during New York Fashion Week, 14 February 2015

The video of Kanye West's fashion show of his 'YEEZY SEASON 1' collection for adidas Originals was viewed in two days more than 1 million times

This is probably the most viewed fashion show video from the runways Fall 2015 until now!

Kanye West delivered a 'Gesamtkunstwerk' (synthesis of the arts) which spans

• from clothing/footwear design after the concept of 'solutions-based' urban fashion for people's contemporary lives from the gym to the office, meetings and in between,
• over the concept of the fashion show which was realized in collaboration with performance artist Vanessa Beecroft,

At the fashion show performance, models stood stoic in rows in front of the audience. The performance evokes the impressions of a play between self-aware identity (models) and voyeurism (guests), between being observed and watching back but tells also the story of being measured by others and confronting them by doing the same. The interplay between the others, the world around and one's own living is central for Kanye West's fashion: "I don't want the clothes to be the life," he says. "I want the clothes to help the life." The YEEZY items can be mixed freely together, as West says, "like Legos".
