Y-3 presented women's and men's pieces at Paris Men's Fashion Week under the title 'Superheroes'

...on 19 January 2014 with the inviting words: "Superheroes might be the world's only remaining hope." Yohji Yamamoto approached the collection from a playful perspective on the 60s superheroes theme with elements like magnified graphical patterns derived from manga-comics and women's outfits with references to masculinity such as tailored leather jackets or emphasized elbows.

The collection pays homage to the couturiers of the 60's and their visionary style. Yohji Yamamoto says: "I wanted to infuse this spirit into it. I was also thinking of super heroes and the kind of clothes they wear. Cut for an active and fighting life style, so I brought these two worlds together."

By fast checking the already published Paris Men's Fashion Week videos on 19 January, there wasn't one of Y-3 show online. It is very possible that Y-3 has some special esthetical claims to runway videos. On the label's website, the publication of the video is announced for Tuesday, 21 January y-3.com/at/#/fashion-shows/aw-2014/.
