Yohji Yamamoto approached the collection from a playful perspective on the 60s superheroes theme with elements like magnified graphical patterns derived from manga-comics and women's outfits with references to masculinity such as tailored leather jackets or emphasized elbows. The collection pays homage to the couturiers of the 60's and their visionary style. Yohji Yamamoto says: "I wanted to infuse this spirit into it. I was also thinking of super heroes and the kind of clothes they wear.
