In January 2014, Aveda sent some background information about the hairdo at Stella McCartney's Autumn 2014 presentation. The easy-to-make hairstyle is practical for the ones who wash their hair daily and take care of achieving a natural and healthy look. Not only that the greasy-wet effect on some of the strands (from the middle to the end of the hair-strands) looks great - it benefits the hair's health at the same time. Aveda takes therefore the label's Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil. Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders explains how to make it: drying the hair, twirling selected strands (photo below) and treating them with heat - this makes the natural waves; afterwards (for the final greasy-wet strands-effect), she used moisturizing oil. fig.: Hairdo at the Stella McCartney Autumn 2014 presentation in New York City; photos provided by Aveda Corporation via Flickr.
