Pro rider's snowboarding style from head to toe
For Fall/Winter 2013/14, Oakley presents new items of the Pro Rider Series which was developed together with skiers and snowboarders like Jake Blauvelt.
Currently, Jake Blauvelt is probably the most active snowboarder according to online search results (fast checked by Fashionoffice on 24 Oct 2013): recently on 17 September, his film 'Naturally' (trailer below) premiered at Oakley's headquarters; an own blue adidas sport boot was named after him; and for adidas' snowboarding web-series, Jake Blauvelt (called by the German label in the video's description "one of the most popular and genuine professional snowboarders in the world") is speaking about his life.
For the Pro Rider Series, the Californian brand Oakley packed new clothing and textile technologies into sport fashion styles with backcountry, freedom touch. The designs of the high-technology pieces such as the jacket on view on this page (closer view) were developed together with the athletes. One of the highlights is the 'BioZone' technology which can be described as interplay of durable, breathable fabrics and manufacturing techniques. The cinnamon-orange jacket on this page is additionally equipped with pockets with H20 zippers for the secure storage of media devices and interactive gadgets such as radar technology which can help in the case of emergency.
