In mid-May 2011, the Spanish headquartered store chain Mango announces that the Brazilian Isabeli Fontana is the new face of the FW2011 campaign. Isabeli Fontana is also chosen for Mango's next catwalk presentation in Paris.
Mango - represented with 2.000 stores in 105 countries, is known for the selection of prominent faces for its campaigns. The models are casted in Hollywood like Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Diane Kruger, Milla Jovovich and/or booked at model agencies in Paris or London such as Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer... The selected women have one in common: they express the current Zeitgeist with their roles they are playing in public best.
Isabeli Fontana stands for a contemporary urban, natural look and high-quality fashion; she modeled already for Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Hermès, Missoni, Armani Jeans, Nicole Farhi, etc and worked together with photographers like Steven Meisel, David Sims, Mario Testino, Inez Van Lamsweerde, Peter Lindbergh, to name a few. Recently, the fashion video, which accompanies the Mango SS2011 campaign, directed/photographed by Terry Richardson, was released. It shows her on an airport, in the lavatory and changing into various outfits.
